Raid Against Encroachments
As per complaints, the shopkeepers at Jalil Kababi Road and Ashraf Road have made encroachments on footpath causing blockade of road as well as hardship for pedestrian passing through these roads. Taking prompt action, the DCO Peshawar constituted a team comprising of Assistant Coordination officer Peshawar, ATOR Town-I and traffic police who conducted surprise raids on these roads. Encroachments were removed on the spot and 19 shopkeepers who made these encroachments were arrested and sent to the judicial lock up.
Similarly, TMO/Price Magistrate Town-II Peshawar carried out price checking at Landay Sarak, Naguman, Mathra and Pir Bala Chowk. During checking four Nanbais, one vegetable seller, one butcher and three bakery shops were found in over charging and not maintaining proper cleanliness. A fine of Rs. 3600/- was imposed on the violators. Rest of the Price Magistrates such as DOR, TMOs, DDOs (R&J) were also directed to carry out special price checking and submit report on daily basis for onward communication to the government.
