Eid Miladun Nabi, celebration at Peshawar
Rabiul Awal is a Month of birth of Hazrat Muhammad e Mustafa, Ahmad e Mujtaba Salallaho Alayhe Wasalam, the last messenger of his mighty Allah and holy prophet of Muslim Ummah, was born on 12th Rabiul Awal, the third month of Islamic lunar Calendar. It is stated that the birth of our beloved lord Muhammad was taken place in an historic year called “Amul Feel” due to the invasion of the Ka’aba by Abraha the viceroy of the Abysinian King. Since the forces of Abraha arrived on an elephant which is “Feeling” in Arabic, the Arabs called this the year of the elephant. An army enforced with elephants, what happened with the army of Abraha, enforced with elephants? Soora-e-feel in Holy Quran gives answer as a great witness of this happening.
Rabiul awal is third month of our Islamic calendar of Hijra, the Muslim majority inPeshawarand surrounding say warm welcome to this month, just after and before the appearance of the moon of this holy month.
Idara Tableeghul Islam, one of the most active religius organizatin atpeshawarchalks out and announces the schedule of their preplanned public religious meetings on different cross roads of famous and busy streets and bazaars of this historic city of Peshawar.
They print and publish colorful posters bearing the names of religious leaders, speakers, and also the members of their executive body, telling the dates and times of their scheduled public meetings. They display these posters on door to door & nook to nook of every bazaar and street of the city.
Idara Tableegul Islam organizes about twelve such public corner religious meetings to educate the public about the life history and bright role of Muhammad Peace be upon him in spreading of Islam. Idara repeats this every year in the month of Rabiul Awal, starting from first Rabiul Awal up till 12 Rabiul awal of every islamic year.
A number of small procession, bearing banners and placards leading by Peers, Seyeds, Ulema or such other religious leaders of Brailvi Sect of Islam, start from different places of inner and outer skirts of the city, gather at Meelad Chnwk and merge in a gigantic gathering and after then they start their march in the form of different groups and parties, showing their identities by the banners holding some of them, chanting slogans, praising attributing the Holy Prophet Muhammad Peace be up on him, they enter the city, with illuminated and decorated bazaars like bride.
They start from Milad Chouk, pass through Hashtnagri Bazaar, Bazaar Karim Pura, Clock Tower, Sabzi Mandi, Katra Bazazan, Misgran Bazaar, Qissa Khwani Bazzar and ultimately reach up till a decorated stage with rostrum at Kabuli Gate of old city of Peshawar. The participants of this great religious rally stop here moving forward and attend here a session of prayer and Salat O Salam.
Ya Nabi Salamo Alaika, Ya Rasool Salamo Alaika, Ya Habeeb Salamo Alaika Salawatullah AlaikaOne or more than one Naat Kuwan recite and the huge public participating in the rally repeat these praising and saluting these stanzas in the honor and grace of Ahmad e Mujtaba, Muhammad e Mustafa Sallala O Alaihe Waslam with their heart beatings and flow of tears of respects and feelings of their inner selves. This session of Salato Salam takes a shape of Prayer Session leading by a trust worthy Islamic religious leader, nominated by the Idara Tableeghul Islam Peshawar, the organizer body of this holy calibration of the birth of our holy Prophet
