Peshawar is a land of flowers and gardens. This is an eye witness statement of Zaheerud Din Babur, the founder of Mughal empire in India. He had visited this city twice in his life and used this city as a front-line against the regime of Ibrahim Lodhi, the ruler of Dehli in India. He writes in Tozake Baburi, a famous book consisted on autobiography of his life. He mentioned that this city is rich cultivated place with beautiful scenes of flourishing plants. He had hunted here a rhinoceros in the jungle situated around the city of Peshawar and he wrote the story of his hunt in his autobiography. This shows that Peshawar was a most cultivated place in its past period. We would try to write here all about in account of cultivation, irrigation and agricultural activities relating to this historic city.
